What's happened to customer service? From the drive thru at your favorite fast food restaurant to expecting a call back from a request made to a handyman, it seems common courtesy has gone out the window. Why is that? Are there just such a plethora of customers that niceties aren't necessary any more? It's not that difficult to say thank you for your business or return a phone call. And that's what could make the difference between a return visit or a referral for more business.

In my business, the best compliment I can get is a referral to a new connection.
